One of my close friends recently found out she's having her first baby girl at the end of October. She co-hosted my lovely baby shower last fall, so I was eager to return the favor. We had dinner and dessert, a few games and lots of good conversation!
We kept it simple, a lot of the decorations were made with Mod Podge decoupage glue and gold glitter. We ended up decorating pasta jars, glass vases, baby food jars and even an old mirror! The mirror ended up being my favorite project. I stenciled " Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," on it using white car window marker. I figured if she loved it she could use it in baby's room, if not she could use it as a mirror or even use different text? I made two star mobiles with card stock, fishing wire and tree branches to hang above the tables....
We had wishes for baby cards for everyone to fill out, some of which ended up being hilarious!
We played the "What's in Your Purse" game, and measured squares of toilet paper to guess how many would fit around the largest part of mama ( which I know she loved). Then of course we opened gifts!!!
We gave out favors (gold hershey kisses with almonds and pink baby girl mints in glittered baby jars) and chit chatted until it was time to go back to reality.... What a wonderful evening!
I am so blessed to have such a sweet friend. I'm wishing her the easiest delivery and a healthy, happy little one. I just know she will be a beauty like her mama!
This Gold and Pink Baby shower is looking spectacular. I totally loved the theme. All these party arrangements are done flawlessly. My sister-in-law is expecting and I would love to host such a fun bash for her at some local party Venues in San Francisco.
